Madden “Brighten”
At this property, our goal was to bring in native plants, add more texture, and create two separate spaces out of an underutilized yard.
Plants with yellow and bright colors were selected to brighten up the garden and complement the existing lemon tree. A flagstone path leads to a new firepit lounge surrounded by structural plantings like tree Aloes and Velvet Elephant Ears.
The clients wanted to keep some lawn, and we gave it a heavy border of native plantings, making the space feel more enclosed and creating a beautiful view from the home looking out. The idea is that the garden can become an activating space for the client and invite them to live a more outdoor lifestyle.
