Cumpston “Celebrate”
These clients already knew their style, melding old Hollywood glam with Palm Springs playfulness. Our goal was to bring as much green and plant texture in while still maintaining the function they needed with young children.
In collaboration with Chet Architecture, whose team brought a pop of blue tile, this project feels like a celebration. The paving design allows for bare feet walking to and from the pool without sacrificing the feel of a garden. Plants used are those that give a Tropicana vibe without needing much water. For the clients who like to cook, herbs are sprinkled throughout the garden. The intention of using herbs was meant to provide a sense of fun and exploration for the children to learn the different smells and tastes of the plants.
